more info : Viber latest version (3.1.0.1033) with debug token was installed and work well. No force closed.
but I agree that native apps is better, because WhatsApp native app is my favorite one.
YELP: Along the this line, does anyone have the YELP converted bar file that actually works on Q10-10.2.1047 running 810 runtime? None of the bar files on apk2bar or good e reader work. Can't find it anywhere. Thanks!
Downloading the latest Google Maps here and will report back. currently running earlier version that works great! will leave both on and then pick the best.
That said, I don't like paying for apps (or paying more) that other platforms have for free. BBMaps has a long way to go to come close to what Google is providing, which is why you have so many Google Map Applications for BB10. This is good for fans of BlackBerry.... but for average consumers it is just another reason to go with the platform that has the original.
It is an APK file and when I try to convert it on APK2BAR it puts out an error message that says:
com.google.android.apps.maps_v7.0.2.700022113.apk
Atypical error while converting .apk
So--I guess this one is a loss for me at least. I have their last version on my Q10 and it works awesome!
Sorry but its an APK file and it will not convert using APK2BAR program.
I'm not sure what you're downloading... But, the BAR file, IF opened with winzip or winrar shows that its a bar file that has been converted (ie. contains android and META-INF directories). Plus, several people have sideloaded it - which would not be possible without a conversion - if it was an apk file. Open an APK with winzip or wnrar and see the differing directory structure.
Edit : OR are you using some outdated webbrowser like IE?
Note:
-you need to know how to sideload
-you won't be able to sign in, Google uses some kind of android account system on its devices instead of just asking for username and password.
-beautiful and buttery smooth != no bugs
i keep getting a messages asking me to download google services to increase location accurac and i cant see how accurate the radius around me is. on the older versions it would show me (3m, 10m, etc.) . am i the only one experiencing these two things?
1) For those having issues with the download being an .apk or .zip file. You can't download a .bar file using Internet Exploder. It won't work. Use Google Chrome or some other browser and it will download the .bar file correctly. The file is fine, your browser sucks. Get over it.
B) The OP showed a pic of "Street View". How do I get that? I can't find the Street view button anywhere or any way to do that. Help?

You long press on an area to drop a pin:
A panel will appear at the bottom, drag it up, and click on the street view photo:
Btw: click on the icon at the bottom left and move around with you phone:
The satellite option is working and interestingly enough the roads on my property are not called out at all as they are shown wrong in the mapping option. Unfortunately the image in the satellite option is close to 4 years old.
The frist time I've seen my helicopter landing area called out on any Google product. Wondering if this why I keep seeing unidentified flying helicopters circling overhead?
