I moved from a Z10 to a Z30 the other day. Transferred everything using the device transfer tools in BB Link. The issue I'm having, is syncing my Gmail calendar. I can't quite describe the behaviour, but it seems that my primary calendar isn't syncing at all, or just a few items. The other calendars I have seem to be better, but still not complete.

I've tried refreshing the calendar (sync), I've also removed and re-added Gmail mail/contacts/calendar several times. I don't think I ever ran into this on my Z10. Both are 10.2.1.

Did I miss something else? There can't be too many tricks to setting up a Gmail account and calendar.

I have the feeling that the google sync is problematic on BB10. Not only the calendar, takes ages to sync, but a couple of times I noticed that new entered on gmail contacts, never came to the BB's contacts list.
Just to mention too, that last year, I deleted then added again my gmail account more than 4 times.

No, from Google as I use the same account for years and had no problems on Symbian//WP8/Android. Maybe its an issue with the 10.2.1 as I can't recall I had this problem with the previous version of the OS on my Q5

It's just strange that I see the issue on my 10.2.1 Z10 and 10.3 Z30. Can't think of anything common to them, especially since I wiped the account and re-added after the data restore from the Z10 onto the Z30.

I have no issues with Gmail sync - all services - on my Q10 with 10.2.1

When you re-added, did you do all of the services at the same time?

Try adding them individually and see how that works. Add email. Then add calendar, and then contacts.

If you still have trouble, we can compare settings.

Also, try deleting the accounts then restart the phone. It's also possible something got messed up when you transferred the settings.

For sync accounts, it's better to add them fresh than copy/transfer them.

Calendar works fine. Before Passport sync of contacts took ages, because there was no possibility to refresh. Now there is a refresh button and now that works fine, too..

After doing a bit more testing, it seems this is mostly related to my main calendar in Gmail, and only the Google -> device direction. Events added to any of my other calendars seem to sync very well.

This may be a sync setting. If you have it set to manual sync, it will only sync when you add something from the device. Those entries added from the desktop will not sync until you make a change/addition on your BlackBerry.

Shouldn't be as I have it set to 15 min sync interval, going back by 6 months.
