    So recently I updated my Z30 to the latest leaked 10.2.1. Before I did though I backed up my device.

    I updated the OS and restored only the settings.

    However everyday now, I get this notification show up in my hub, in groups of 5. I only get the notification come once a day, all together.

    "You need to update your account password for external"

    Any help would be nice to resolve this. I know that the last resort would be to wipe and not restore anything.

    Thanks!

    I get the same thing, this is for the snap2chat account. The only thing you can do right now is log out and in again, or join their beta program, found in the blackberry beta zone.

    I've been having that too. As far as suspicions go, it probably has something to do with Android apps or native apps that aren't firmly integrated into the Hub (i.e. Snap2Chat, iGrann, Whine, Parrot) that you may have not updated the log in credentials to when you restored the backup.

    I just deal with it because I'm too lazy to find what apps might be the culprit for me. But it varies.

    Or is some account wanting 2 step or wants you to add the phone as a connected device?

    The only way to fix and avoid this is to not restore from backup. So wipe and start fresh.

    yes its pretty easy to solve,
    connect ur device to PC and open BBLink
    on the title bar of BBLInk window there is an option to sign in.
    sign in there using ur blackberry id. {reset pasword in case u forgot}
    thats it. DONE

    Doesn't fix it if it's trying to connect to old computers of yours which is the issue the majority of the time. . .
