FULL Landscape Support. Who wants it?

Storm 1 had it, Storm 2 had it, Torch had it. Now with the Z10 and I presume the Z30 (I don't own one so I'm not positive), we have to use apps like appworld, BBM, and the homescreen standing straight up while switching between typing emails, browsing the Web, and watching videos in landscape. If you ask me, it's a bit counter-productive and its one of the many, many reasons I don't like the "other" phones on the market.

Just curious, does anyone else miss this feature? Or are most of you switching over from "other" devices and don't know what your missing?

I didn't see anyone else complaining about it yet, which is odd. It's a big deal to me. Not big enough to make me use Google or apple, but a big deal nonetheless.

It really doesn't bother me. I mean it would be cool if they implement this, but I can use my Z10 without it.
But speaking of rotating the screen: if I enable rotation lock and use an android app the rotation lock has no effect. This bug is bothering a bit more.

Kind of. Had bold 9700 (also a few older BBs before), then HP pre3 (probably the 2nd best phone I've ever used, til it broke), then a LG optimus 2X for a few months (didn't like android that much), switched to windows phone 7 (didn?t like it either worst OS I've ever used) and then to an iPhone 5 (wasn't that bad, but still wasn't pleased and I kinda hate apple). Since a few months my lovely Z10

Doesn't bother me but in the hub I can technically use BBM in landscape on my z10. You just end up losing more of the chat window.

Just wondering. I can't be sure, but seems like none of the devices you listed support full landscape mode.

I agree with your sentiment regarding windows. I had one of the newer versions for about a day and a half, then went back to my torch. Same with Android. Couldn't stand either of them.

Good point. I didn't even think about that. It does switch to landscape when watching videos and playing games, Web browser, etc, but then you switch back to the menu and have to flip your phone the other way. Annoying.

Yes, you can chat through the hub, but for starting conversations, groups, channels, anything else, landscape doesn't work. That's the annoying part for me. Seems a little silly that it works through the hub but not any other way.

Losing the chat Window stinks too. I remember on my Storm2, the top bar on the chat Window would shrink in landscape mode to show more of the text. They should bring that back too

Agreed. I don't care if they do it either, I just hope BlackBerry brings it back. Seems like only a hand full of people care about it though.

I think Android did support this (at least with an 3rd party launcher like ADW Launcher EX) by turning the icons by 90� and placing the notification bar at the top of the screen.

I don't get why they don't do landscape mode. I thought that maybe because it would make the screen too small when in the home screen. I then realized that the screen would be the same on the q10.

9/10 I use portrait I only really use landscape when required ie video. Otherwise portrait works fine

Exactly! It makes no sense to me. I mean, even if 55% of people don't use landscape, at least give the others the option. Especially since they have a "lock rotation" option.

I must say, aside from the Hub not automatically going back to main whenever you swipe up and left, not having BB 10 work fluidly in landscape mode is really my only other serious gripe. It just feels wrong and clumsy at times.
