Earlier today, I was surfing the net and wanted to get into contact with PVR cinema's, I highlighted / selected the phone number and BOOM, the option bar appeared with many options including call or add to contact.
It's such a great relief to me who gets back to internet to connect with people.

Brilliant find. Been using that for a long time. It might help others who didn't try to copy the number

    I know, right?
It's so amazing that I couldn't believe it in first place, so much for one of the features I craved for was there in it with the 10.3 leak.

    I think it's been there since 10.2.

Just confirmed that this option doesn't exist in 10.2.1
When highlighting a phone number all you get is the standard "copy", "select", "share" and "search" options

It has to recognized it as a phone number for it to work. sometimes it is formatting issues. I've used it in 10.2 before..

I've also had times I've highlight in 10.3 and just plain copy paste etc. as well..

How do you access the side menu? I've noticed it a few times and have always preferred it to popup icons.

    It's usually from a long-press on something.

It's still not as neat as the text being highlighted for you and you just click the text to call. Too bad they stopped doing this in BB10.

Works for email addresses too.. when you select the number or address and aren't able to see the options available in overflow menu just pull the menu out a little further and they would pop up..

Yea it's available in 10.2.1, like others have said though it has to be recognised as a phone number. If you find one on a website, it's usually hyperlinked and if you copy the link URL and paste it somewhere you'll see it's:

    "tel: 1234 5678"

Numbers that are entered as plain numbers will just have the normal copy/paste/share/search pop-up.

Edit: it seems that the BB10 OS is designed to read numbers following "tel:" as phone numbers.
