When you restart your phone and you see the blackberry logo hold your finger over it or swipe up and you can see what percentage of the restart you are in.

Some of you might have known this but for those that didn't like me.... I found it pretty cool.

Yes, it has been there since the beginning. I think Kevin did a post on it way back. It's interesting that sometimes it goes all the way to 100% and sometimes it starts at 65%.

Yup I always play with it on boot. It's a great little feature. On one hand we might think it's cool because it's the only OS that allows you to interact with the boot screen and on the other it's also the slowest booting OS so they gave us something to do in that minute.

Blackberry still needs to make the phones boot faster! But still a neat trick to see! Usually a one minute load time for BB10 phones.

I'm pretty sure it boots MUCH faster now since 10.2.1.

My findings:

1) Loads much MUCH faster, I don't have to turn the kettle on any more when rebooting. *big savings*
2) Hub is pre-loaded (no more waiting for the hub to load), this appears to be a static version and over time it lazy loads in new content which is more efficient.
3) Android runtime appears to load after boot and not whilst booting, as when I open any android apps, I get a little loading bar at the bottom.

Generally it felt like BB10 was loading everything in during boot, now it loads the neccessary components, then everything else bit by bit.

I think these logical enhancements fit very well.

For me, BB10 Boot time should not be a priority for future updates. We're not always rebooting our phone if were going to use it right?

I also noticed that there were times that the Boot Time is less than 30 seconds. Sometimes it takes a minute.

If I'm not mistaken, you can press any part of the screen and see the percentage booting (not just logo or swiping). At least in older versions. Pretty sure it should still exist now but haven't played with it for a bit.

Yes, Pressing any part of the screen still shows the boot percent.
