Not good! To the OP, as I understand it, if you have a password assigned to your device and perform a Backup and Restore, you will still need the same password for the device that Backup is Restored to.

Also, if you get the Pictures
Password wrong...it Defaults to having to type in "BlackBerry",...this is to ensure that you know how to "type",...if one doesn?t get the Password right here...it WIPE TIME,...no if's, and's or but's! I could be wrong, ...hit I doubt it,...from as I once didn't realize that my Picture Password window was active and I was handling my phone mindlessly,...next thing I knew,...the enter "BlackBerry" window was active.

That **** happened to me 2 weeks ago because I forgot the numeric password I set when setting up picture password. I never backup on link, but fortunately I had a firechest backup from a few months ago I ran before loading 1925. Also lucky for my *** I save everything I can to sd.

Yeah I don't use picture password since the simple password keyboard makes it very easy and quick to enter my four digit PIN. Which I will never forget. I also set my lock timeout to one hour so that my phone hardly ever locks during the day. Yet if lost chances are it would lock before someone got into it. Maybe not though. Just depends.

Excess alcohol was the cause for my unintended wipe.
Been there and done that! :-)

Nothing has changed from 3 years ago. Remember your password or your device will wipe itself. It is that simple.

Why still bb10 os not make infinite password attempts? Keyone, priv have infinite password attempts or At least bb10 have a ON OFF options in wipe device!

If you can't get it after ten tries, you're probably not going to. If remembering how to get into a device is not going to be 100% effective, don't use security.

This is how it's intended to work. Infinite tries means 100% vulnerable to brute force attack.

    No.

Android (MarshMallow +) introduces a 30 second delay after multiple failed password logins.

BB10 locks you out after ten.

Android from Lollipop on also defaults to 10 attempts.

Why keyone and priv have more than 10 attempts? My bro have priv I saw in security options if we don't want wipe the device after 10 attempts it's possible in priv.
I like to use picture password if bb10 have same options like in priv and keyone.

If that's truly the case, set yours to the desired number of attempts and call it good. It doesn't matter what other people do as long as there's a choice. LG does not give that choice, however. It's 10 tries only, non-negotiable, no setting to change it.
