Hey KermEd, thanks for the great work! What you've done is really appreciated. This might open the door to many other projects like this. Hope you keep learning and growing. That aside, I propose a name change! Instead of "Flash Browser for BlackBerry 10.3.1", why not call the modified browser "FlashBack!"?

I had to delete the older one first before using Sachesi to side-load the new one.

After I did that, I realized I could have unchecked the box: "Only install newer apps".

You don't need to. Just unselect "only install updated files".

That way, you won't lose your bookmarks.

Wow...works flawlessly! Not having Flash was more of a pain in the **** every day...was out yesterday and needed to order tickets on Ticketmaster.ca, went to view the seating chart to select seats and what do you know...another,"sorry sucker, you need flash to pick your seats!". Argh!

I understand that Flash is dying. Nevertheless, it was one absolutely stupid move to remove Flash already. Too many things still out there that still require it.

How would people on iOS, Android or Windows Phone have checked the seats?

Either using the app, finding a BlackBerry, or using a Desktop.

I personally got them with the Android app on my phone since I hadn't wanted to chance missing the ticket window with the modified browser crashing or something. Plus on my desktop the webpage failed 35 times in a row to find seats, only the app seems to work :/

It will not work with sites that need a version higher than Flash 11. On these, you will get a message to update flash in the area of the web page where the flash content is.

See that is what I mean. They use an APP, they don't NEED flash. BB users usually don't have the dang APP! The only reason a BB user has the APP is because of Cobalt's work or Snap, which is by no means official BB support for the masses.
So officially the average BB user relied on flash to make up for it. Now they took it away and expect the rest of the Internet to follow suit and say: Oh man! BB got rid of flash, we need to convert to HTML5 STAT!!! BB SAID SO!!

Guess what? Ain't gonna happen like that! So either the average BB user has to switch platforms or become a geek like us.
No wonder this company goes down the drain. They constantly make the wrong decisions!
Fact is, if you don't have the apps like the big dogs, leave the flash on there or people keep leaving.

I am almost positive that if it wasn't for Cobalt or Snap, I wouldn't have a BB anymore. Enough is enough!

Thanks KermEd. You've made my BB enjoyable again.

For those who claim Flash is dead or dying, it is true only for the mobile platform. Flash is alive and well on the desktop. Adobe continues to push out new Flash versions.

The issue for BB is that most mobile websites don't white list the BB browser. So when you access these sites, you get pushed to the desktop site even you've switched off the desktop mode on the browser. If the material you want to access uses Flash and you are on the stock browser, you are toasted. There is no other way around it short of using your PC. For iOS and Android, there is always an app or the mobile sites would run on their browser. There is no issue for them not having Flash.

I debated but the BlackBerry World team hates me enough as it is . It would honestly make it much easier for other users though.

Part of me wants to try it - lol!
