They are taking a survey on which flash sites people are having issues with. Send me all the websites you use with flash and I'll report it to BlackBerry.

Wasn't flash development for mobile stopped by Adobe a while ago?

Adobe is known for fantastic bloat software. Not to mention just what a giant security hole they are as well. What a sloppy company.

I won't miss them at all.

Yes they did stop... yet they still want BlackBerry to pay the fees to keep using flash.

Did bbry fess up? When pressed - and I pressed them hard - BlackBerry wouldn't give any reason. And proposed we use and target Android instead - and let Amazon bring it over if we want bbry users on flash or air...

Yes it was and from what I remember BlackBerry has the code and stated they would keep it updated themselves. I figured how well that would work. Canceled now.

BlackBerry took on mobile Flash development after Adobe decided to kill it. Killing off mobile Flash on BlackBerry 10 is a decision made purely by BlackBerry to reduce whatever associated costs there are, no matter the amount or the resulting loss in features/users. I guess whatever it takes to show profit on the books, right?

Well the problem is that flash is still widespread. That is a fact. And it will be for a while. I turned my flash off to see what happens. There is quite a few sites I cannot use anymore without. And no, there isn't an app for that.
This decision actually cripples our phones.
I also wish for flash to go away asap. But it isn't gonna happen soon enough.
This is way to early to pull the plug on it, if you don't have the ecosystem to make up for it.
    Very stupid decision.

    Lol, no.
Porn has long updated to html5. You can thank Apple for that.

    And blame this for that

P.s. Link is Game playable on bb10 , NOT porn.

I have 30 or so flash games on my device (downloaded as swf with a root index.html). It's a great way to get some of the little flash tower defense games

I'm definitely sad to see bbry removing it. And now that they are childifying BBM - I do have my doubts about this 'enterprise' push they are claiming. It seems to me they are killing what made bbry unique - a few features at a time - and just building some kind of iOS copycat.

Good looking sites like Atelier sites use Flash. It's an awesome piece of technology, Flash, shame that Apple effectively killed it for mobile

Then again, there was a critical security update that forced all desktop Flash users to update a while ago. I assume that updating Flash all by themselves is too herculean a task for BlackBerry, it's not like they invented the thing. Anybody here who have read others' code would understand BlackBerry programmers' hell

I held onto my original Storm and waited for BB10 because it had flash. I still visiting many sites that use flash including NHL team sites and game steaming video.
Would it be possible for an individual user to pay for and load flash??

Folks don't post links here to websites requiring Flash. The thread will get locked without warning by one of the bored mods. That happened twice I think in the last weeks.
