When in reading mode inside the browser there is an option for having BlackBerry assistant reading the text for you (it was there also in the. 500)

There are too many variables here. Could it be a hardware problem with the phone causing the Bluetooth malfunction? The Settings restore? I hope we get an autoloader or Blitz file for 680 soon.
Your issue is more then likely being carried over with you restoring, best way to figure it out is trying not to restore and start fresh, if that works then you know is something in your backup that's causing the issue.

I hope you're right. I'm doing a security wipe as I write this, and will see if the Bluetooth connects properly with a clean phone. If it does, then clearly it's the restore, as you say. If not, it must be either the OS itself being corrupt (no way to fix that without an autoloader now that 680 has been installed, or else it's the Passport hardware.

Edit: I wiped the device and it still connects and disconnects from the BT headset. The BT headset is working fine on my other Passport which has 500 installed. So, I don't know how to determine if it is the OS or the hardware that is at fault. I have to return one of the two Passports within a couple days or I will have bought an extra one. I don't know any way to figure out if it is the OS or the hardware without being able to use either an autoloader or a Blitz file to reinstall the OS, given that I can't downgrade the OS. I'm suspicious that it is the hardware at this point, since no one else is having this problem with 680.

I found the same thing with Talk2Watch, but figured it was the BT problem I've been describing. I suppose my Plantronics BT headset could also be incompatible with this OS. We simply have no way of testing or downgrading the OS at this point.

For those that haven't seen it yet, the 'private browser' has a different look at the bottom:

    Attachment 352561

    I kinda like it

You finally decided to do the update. Good for you.
As for the blue colour at the bottom of the private browser, it was there in 500.

I've read through everything and there's really no significant updates worth putting in the op. I thought with a new os there'd be some new features, but I was mistaken

My Plantronics Bluetooth headset won't stay connected. It will connect, and then after about 30 seconds, the headset says "lost connection." Funny thing is, the phone says it is still connected. I'm also having trouble connecting my Pebble watch. I've cleared all the Bluetooth settings, and of course have hard rebooted several times.

The other issue is with the Ebay Android app. It boots up, then minimizes and disappears. I've deleted and reinstalled it through Play Store, but the problem is still there.
I'm still on .500, however my Plantronic's Legend has had connection issues from the first day I got my Passport and with every OS version I've installed. With .500 it does the thirty second disconnect like you are having. On the Plantronics forum someone even posted their disconnect issue with their Passport and Legend (as I have posted on that forum as well).
The connection longevity does seem to improve once a call has been made, though I'm still testing that out. So is it a Plantronics issue or a Passport or OS version issue? Using a different BT device might reveal the answer but I don't have one.

Ran it through Sachse with no problem loading the wallpaper app. GoggleMaps seems to freeze trying to render a map. Turned off traffic data and it got a little further but still froze. ReadItNow still not loading articles properly...seems to load on top of dark theme. Dev said he figured it out and will fix in next update.
    More to follow...

Seems it is not yet fixed. Don't know if the issue is with BBM or os. Also I still empty network strength bars at the top right with H+ or E.

Google maps latest was working before with a few times freezes but it does not work now on my Z10-1. Wish it works smoothly.

What method did you use to update your phone? That might give a clue why some are having major connection issues and others are not.
I did not wipe before updating via Sachesi.

Sachesi, non-destructive since I bought it. No problems at all with either the Plantronics (I use it for both calls and audio streaming while running) or car connectivity with my Pioneer head unit.
