If I'm not wrong, he had an SDK hybrid months ago of 10.3 to put on our phones while waiting for the proper leaks. It wasn't a daily driver at all, but it was on our phones. Somehow people even managed to put apps in there and use it for daily use. So when you say "I have never seen an SDK run on a BlackBerry device", I answer that we have seen SDK running in devices!. I hope this will help you develop more comfortably!
An Operating System is not a Software Development Kit.

Everyone knows SDK stands for Software Development Kit, right? Ie, the latest version of momentics that builds codes to run on a 10.3.1 OS (an SDK is not an OS). It may come with a simulator, but an SDK is NOT an OS.
No, they don't, and whoever started that trend needs slapped.

If a simulator is released in tandem to the SDK there's a possibility of the OS being extracted. I don't know who would be capable of such a feat or how. Just a possibility.

You've never seen a Software Development Kit running on a device and it's very unlikely you ever will.

It doesn't help that BlackBerry themselves refer to the image of the *OS with things missing for developers* as a SDK image.

If only the simulator is released then we're SOL, BlackBerry10 compiled for x86 is pretty useless.

Usually BlackBerry releases the Dev OS along with the SDK so there shouldn't be a problem.

If the OS autoloaders aren't released, then JC is DEFINITELY trying to crack down on leaks.

I care because titles are misleading.

Can we see some more pics of the simulator?
I would've figured out how to download it myself but I don't have access to a decent net connection for the next 12 hours.

Everyone gets it, maybe we just choose to use sdk, it's really not that big of a deal. Your turning the thread into a useless placeholder.

And you got me helping you.

Back on topic: someone made an assumption at the very beginning saying/hoping that the PassPort keyboard could be used-with 10.3.1-as a trackpad not only for scrolling and selecting text. Is that right?!? :-O
And sorry in advance if my ignorance will offend someone.

Hey olaf!!! How's it going, man! Did you get to download and tweak with the Simulator yet? I was wondering if you could clear a few things for me about 10.3.1

    Z10STL100-3/10.3.0.1154
I've not yet. I'm waiting for the Momentics beta repo to be live so I can update to 2.1.1. If by that time there aren't SDK OS Autoloaders available, then I'll download the simulator.

So, is this going to be norm everytime an SDK drops? Is this whole discussion going to be had again when the Gold SDK drops? Seriously, everytime there is an SDK thread, people end up arguing about it.
Let's just enjoy the SDK and hope we get something from it soon

    Oh and..

Oh, so basically you haven't even touched 10.3.1. The thread title is "Finally 10.3.1 SDK Arrives", so I guess you must be the wrong person to ask about anything related to 10.3.1. Because you still ignore it. Because you are waiting for that update. And driving while you wait. Huh...talking about ignorance...

    Z10STL100-3/10.3.0.1154
We've known what's new on this SDK since a couple of months ago, there's a roadmap; now if you're asking about the 10.3.1 OS(which is not what this thread is about, look at the title) then ask Thurask.
