Is it true that anything you install via other sources from BlackBerry World, such as Amazon Appstore, do NOT get backed up by Link?

Depends on what OS you are on the later builds of 10.2.1 and 10.3 everything gets backed up

Yes. After a certain version of 10.2.1, Android apps and most of their data are covered. But you'll still have to log in and all that.

Can't confirm for sure, but I was in 10.2.1.2xxx when I found out that Android apps can now be backed.
