I agree we're all on borrowed time now with the Facebook app for BlackBerry but no one (except maybe someone at Facebook) knows when the API's the app uses will no longer be able to successfully connect to the Facebook servers. We thought it would happen weeks ago but didn't. It may happen tomorrow, next month, or even years from now.

I'm keeping it installed for notifications/contacts sync/native messenger in the hub and enjoying it while it lasts.

check out my last post. i have been coding as hell and working heavily on bypass some restrictions and code a decent app. I'm an android developer so is ported but will be on Blackberryworld paid and free.

When it was native in BBW, BlackBerry did not care to update it almost for 1 year. When people leave it due to non integration of hub, they are trying to update it in regular intervals. It is too late.



FYI: The official Blackberry OG facebook app is still working fine for me except it finally lost the "Blackberry" tramp stamp we all loved so much somehow. As in, when you posted to FB from the original blackberry facebook app it would say BLACKBERRY "real nice" built into the top of your post, it no longer does this.

I have the same question. I tried to upload a photo to Facebook yesterday and couln�t until I isntalled Face 10, but this app is not free. I can�t understand why it why Facebook was removed from the HUB. What is the sense of this? I don�t want to change my phone, but it seems balckberry is pushing us to do this.

Update: it seems is not BB but Facebook doing this.

Actually, it's still showing when sharing a link from the Browser and with uploaded videos, not sure about pics though. It definitely doesn't show anymore on regular posts.

Wish one of these FB apps could find a way to implement it but think it's not possible due to those pesky api's!...

I'm using it for a while and although being an Android app it displays HUB notifications and weighs only around 1MB. Doesn't use many resources.

The best FB app (bar file) I found is FMINI but it was removed from BBW for unknown reasons, wish there was a way to pull it as I can't do a factory refresh because of this ever. It's that's good. It's like they acquired api's they should not have hence being pulled.

When I installed the older version, the latest version gone automatically and all features including Hub integration are back..

Well my stock bb10 Facebook app stopped a couple days ago - just kept closing itself - using face10 now - not great...
I wonder why a multi billion dollar ,company like Facebook has to be such a **** - bb10 phones are still being sold but FB has lumped them in with some very old products. the Z30 and passport are still better than a lot of phones sold today - something doesn't pass the smell test .

Mine has stopped working twice (force close), but managed to fix it both times by going into facebook via the hub.

Just open a notification from the hub then navigate to your home page, and it should work as normal again, at least it did for me twice!
