    Anyone tried resetting the hub by tapping 5 times in the top left corner?

    Resetting the hub won't help here.

    I'm still on 10.1 and i dont get any FB notifications on my phone, nor can I get the app to open at all. This only started happening when I updated my FB app, so I uninstalled and installed the damn thing 2-3 times and it still doesn't work. I've uninstalled the app altogether and realized I'm far more productive in my day now.

    So this is after a couple days of using Z10STL100-3/10.2.1.2141 but after removing app and fb account and reinstall, it *seems* to be better. I don't think I've had it not open from hub yet. The worst was a slow open, but it opened.

    Well, now nothing seems to get FB to work.

    I'm surprised this issue seems so quiet. With everyone here reporting the same symptoms, i suspect it is fairly widespread.

    Frustrating!

    Well, tried this:
    Settings -> Accounts -> Facebook
    Turn off all notifications and re-enter your password -> SAVE

    Close Settings.

    Settings -> Accounts -> Facebook
    Turn on all notifications and re-enter your password -> SAVE

    Open Facebook app. I got a pop up that it was applying my settings. Close Facebook.

    It seems to work! Now, for how long...

    That works for me in the short term. Except you don't need to turn off all settings in the Facebook account; just need to turn off the "enable notifications". That way you don travel to reenter a password.

    I've tried the BlackBerry help twitter account and they seem pretty clueless about it. Right down to them asking me to make sure I had the notifications turned on in the Facebook account settings, even though I'd told them in much detail about how I'd deleted and reinstalled the OS, the app, and how the short term fix described previously of turning off and then on notifications is used. The reviews of the app on Appworld clearly shows that this is a widespread problem, and yet no acknowledgement of it from BlackBerry. Very frustrating indeed.

    Try to restart the phone when fb reacts weirdly.
    It has worked for me all the times.

    Shouldn't have to do that. For most, that's a lot of unnecessary restarts just because of Facebook.

    You DON'T need to restart the phone! That is a completely unacceptable solution In any event.

    Read some of the other roosts and you will see that all that's needed is a reset of notifications for the Facebook account in the account settings. A LOT less hassle than a restart, but still a failure of the OS and BlackBerry, especially if they want to keep users.

    Not really. Sometimes a restart is necessary. Unpredictable and yet easily produced bug.

    Whatever people do to fix it is acceptable. The point is we have to have workarounds and that is the problem. This is not just limited to facebook as I have seen similar issues with Blaq as well where the hub dims then doesn't open a message. The latest OS update, 10.2.1.2141, at least for me, seems to have made it less likely to happen but it still does happen.

    A restart is only acceptable as a solution to exceptionally rare circumstances or situations. Not for a problem such as this when a notification in the hub is not responsive about one in ten attempts. For me that would mean restarting my phone three times a day!

    This is obviously a bug. Whether the FB app needs an update or something with the OS update did it, all the suggestions in this thread to "fix" it do not work. You may have a temporary workaround but in the end, it comes back. It may last a day or 2 but it will eventually return.

    BB will need to address this in order to properly fix it.

    Hi,

    Using a Z10 STL100-2 in the UK, OS is up to date...as is my FB app.

    I'm experiencing a similar problem..

    Opening FB from a notification in the hub either is very slow at times OR just doesn't work at all...

    Glad to see I'm not the only one!

    I will try the notification thing...

    So since opening a case with bb, I have not had the problem. The odd time it takes 2 tries or 3 but it opens. Just prior to opening the case a few days ago I had tried at least 10 times to open an entry from hub with no luck.

    Go figure....

    This hub issue started with OS update to 10.2.1.1925. Still exists in 2141. The current app version did not have the symptoms pre 10.2.1.x. Either the app wasn't properly tested with 10.2.1 or 10.2.1 broke it. Either way it needs to be fixed and all the "workarounds" posted are only temporary fixes.
