Having just updated to 2876 on a Q10 I find that my Facebook app will not stay open. It opens momentarily then immediately closes.
I have uninstalled and re-installed the app but with no success.
Is this problem unique?

Did you restart your phone after the update? If not, try that. Then if that doesn't work uninstall and reinstall the app.

Phone restarted, App removed and reloaded, Battery and sim removed and reinstalled, still does not work ...... Still the app opens then immediately closes itself. It is the only app affected.

In the meantime, you can use the older, working Android app duo of Facebook and Messenger:

Back to the problem, you may have a corrupt system setting, and the only way to clear that out is a clean OS install (autoloader or OS reload with Link).

I had this problem three months ago, I was adviced to backup the phone, but I had no time. I simply switched off and restarted it and all went fine, all the apps remained open for the time needed

yeah i did, that's exactly why i said to restart the phone and then do an uninstall and reinstall. Not just an uninstall and reinstall.
