I wish there was a way to let BlackBerry know about this problem. Fixing it can't be that hard and it's a really annoying bug for me. Have to make calendar entries for every birthday.... I prefer adding a birthday to a contact and have an app notify me in time.

I can report it directly to a second level device supporter.

The issue must be 100% reproducible and I need a text with the following information :

    Title:
E.g. Calendar appointments are one day off

    Environment:
    BlackBerry Zxx OS 10.x.x.x
    Office 365/Exchange 20xx, SPx
    Outlook xxx/OWA..

    Problem description :
    - what are you trying to do
    - what do you expect
    - what do you see / experience

Steps to reproduce the issue :
Provide a step by step instruction for the engineers to recreate your problem.

    Other relevant information :
E.g. If tested on device X using OS Y the problem is/is not present

    No problem.

I have emailed my contact at BB. Sometimes he is very busy, but eventually he replies and confirms the bug as well as it has been forwarded to the correct team.

Super, if the bug is at least confirmed officially (sometimes resulting in a KB article), it would be great.

    Thanks again.

Thanks for this. The KB says:
This is a previously reported issue that is being investigated by our development team. No resolution time frame is currently available.
So maybe in a next OS release, they will address this.

Can't believe so few people care about this issue. It is hugely annoying and would be easy to fix... .I tried contactic BB support as well ..... dead end.
I've encountered this problem on every platform I've used. It drove me batty. It was obviously a Microsoft issue. I finally quit storing birthdays and anniversaries in my outlook calendar and started using Airset. Now that they are out of business, I'm without a solution.

Hasn't always been that way. Maybe Apple found a way to make sync work correctly with Microsoft.

    Edit: I've posted a quick work-around below.

Does anyone have a work-around for this or have a hosted exchange provider without this issue?

I use office 365 with my own domain and use e-mail, calendar and contacts this way. If there's no fix, I'll switch - either hosted exchange provider or device manufacturer.

I've now employed a quick and dirty fix: since I use a Mac and an iPad when I am not using my Q10 (which, to be honest, I use a LOT), I did:

    1. a (local) backup of all my contacts on office3651,
    2. deleted all (older) contacts from iCloud contacts2,
    3. copied the backup to my iCloud contacts via the Contacts app on my Mac,
    4. deactivated contact sync via office365 on all devices and
    5. added contact sync via iCloud on all my devices - voil!

1I just dragged all my office365 contacts from the Contacts app on my Mac to a backup folder on the desktop
2Dragged all the previous iCloud contacts to another backup folder and the backup from step 1 back to iCloud within the Contacts app.

It works. The birthdays are now displayed correctly.

And, to spare you the trouble of googling if you choose to do the same, here is how I set up my iCloud contacts to sync with my Q10:

    1. add a new account and choose "cardDAV",
    2. username is your AppleID,
    3. e-mail: your iCloud (or me.com) e-mail address (not your AppleID-username - if different!),
    4. password: your AppleID password,
    5. server: contacts.icloud.com
    6. sync intervall: I set it to 15 minutes, other settings should work fine.
    7. DONE.

Let me know if you choose to do the same and if it worked.
