Hey guys. I read on reddit on /r/blackberry about someone saying the Q10 won't be supported after the official 10.3.1 OS. Is this true?

This has been a debate in the forums for a long time

I don't think so. Many of the forum posters upgraded to OS 10.3.1 by installing a leak.
The Q10 itself is identified as a BlackBerry-10-device, with keyboard.
Don't panic, the support continues, it is rather a new phone!
Cheers!

the rumor is no 10.4 but who knows how many more 10.3.1 builds it will get
Consider your source OP. Also, just because a Q10 doesn't get 10.4 doesn't necessarily mean that it wouldn't get a 10.3.3 update. The beauty of a QNX core is that everything potentially is a separate component so only the components of the OS that can be upgraded could be even if there are no more feature upgrades. It's still a credit to BlackBerry that the Q10 and Z10 are getting updates as most manufacturers would have already moved on in terms of support. This is one of the advantages of using products from an enterprise focused company: you'll get longer support cycles than you will with consumer focused products.

I am sure the Q10 will supported for a long time.
Q10 (SQN100-3)
Unless the old q10 radios stop working with newer cores or they explicitly kill leaks on q10 it will be supported as long as the classic is updated
BlackBerry Q10 SQN100-3
i will remind everyone that support is technically up to the carriers. Even if BB makes a q10 OS if the carrier doesnt push it then you might never get it
The BlackBerry classic has pretty much the same hardware as the Q10. It would be pretty crazy if they dropped support so soon.
They certainly wouldn't have a good excuse.

Maybe he meant they would stop selling them? Which would kind of make sense with classic out
No, I meant for updates. I might buy a classic in a few weeks anyway. I miss the trackpad.
