How am I suppose to access the Engineering screen on the BlackBerry Q10? I follow the instructions that let's others do it.

For letters I hold down the right letters (so it puts a capital letter in)

For numbers I press sym twice the press the number.

I have to do those two because alt and Shift doesn't work on that screen.

Any ideas anyone?

sorry i stand corrected. there is no way to gain access to advanced escreen options as the ecreen no longer uses the traditional method. there has been a prior discussion about this http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...screen-969833/

I can get the key fine, just nothing happens when I enter it on both my Q10 or Playbook. No message or nothing, just sits there like nothing has happened. Although Sachmalh has explained why it doesn't work on the Q10 and I know it doesn't work properly on the Playbook now

Tapping on the "By BlackBerry Limited" box should trigger a X in the corner (to clear the box), then you can type in there. That's how people with Passports are supposed to do it.

That's the odd thing, that works, as in clearing the text, but after entering the key, nothing happens.

Is there something I'm missing?

I can't enter capital letters directly as there's no virtual keyboard, so I hold down a key to enter a capital letter. It does enter a lower case letter but quickly changes to a capital letter

Nothing happens... is there even a virtual keyboard for the Q10? I've never seen it
