So I was curious how long Whatsapp will be supported for the BlackBerry 10 OS. So I send an email to whatsapp support with this simple question. This was their answer:



So I said that the answer to my question was not to be found in the FAQ of BlackBerry.. I got the same (automatically generated) answer..

Does this mean the end of Whatsapp for BlackBerry 10?

That is funny. Specially as new versions are released very often, including beta ones. Last one was this week.....

I guess you are right lol. Just came back to BlackBerry so I should have checked a little better. Still strange I got this answer from them, but I guess they must have their reasons

I think it just that they don't really reply to emails. Everything is computer generated. As at whatsapp is not going to support bb10, I don't think it will be in the new future as they frequently having new updates in the beta.

I have encountered that. I omit any words from my e-mails that might imply "BlackBerry" (e.g., BlackBerry, BB, Z10, RIM, etc.).

Nothing to chime in on. They killed off email support but let the app roll.

But take heart. It doesn't mean the end of WhatsApp threads on CB. Those will flourish long after the app stops working.
