A month or so back, I received an email from Blackberry to download a movie on them. I downloaded thru Blackberry App World onto my Z10.

I want to watch the movie on my Playbook, but when I try to do this, I get the error that the file is encrypted and to get the original file or something like that.

Is there away to move or transfer the file to the Playbook?

You have to turn the encryption off on your phone, then transfer it to your Playbook. This is because your playbook does not have the encryption key used to encrypt the files on your Z10.

Looks like your only choice is to delete it the download it again then. Sorry.

WMV file? Sounds more like a DRM issue than an encryption issue.

The PlayBook likely lacks the authorization to play the file.

But why would BlackBerry send a file in wmv format? Doesn't make sense.

What format should they send it in?

The issue does appear to be DRM and not and encrypted file system.

Heck if I know, I'm going on what the OP said. And I never ordered a movie from BB World
