    I've noticed several bars available now since the java update, ie text fix etc.

    Just wondered if there's one which allows me to select 4g in the network mode screen? The last update on my carrier disabled that option, i can only selct 3g and 2g. But i was able to select 4g using another carriers update before.

    what carrier do you have? do they have 4g in your region?

    That setting is carrier specific and locked. For example, on T-Mobile USA you can select network type 2G/4G/LTE but on AT&T that menu is missing.
    However, you can manually change it through the engineering screen (escreens://)

    ##EDIT##

    I've seen people having problems with escreens not saving settings when they restore previous back up.

    My case, with the original 10.1 and every leak after I never had problems saving these values or the APN in escreens and i've never did restore. So you might try wiping out and try from scratch.

    My understanding is it should show in settings when i tick it in escreen, but it doesn't. Three UK must have changed something else.

    Wish I never started with the escreen now. I can't connect with sideloads now. Probably because I changed antenna diversity.

    That's not what I meant though.
    Under general radio, one of the top 3 settings is to chose network type. It's a drop down menu, nothing to tick. You have to go to escreens every time you want to change that.

    Even if I choose that it won't show.

    What do you mean it will not show?
    I see it.
    WCDMA=HSPA=3.5G in Europe=4G in USA.
    LTE would be the fastest of 3 and it's real 4G.

    I've never seen H+ on my status bar. I get E (edge), 4G (HSPA and HSPA+) and LTE symbols.

    No matter, I just read about the Vodafone update. Put a Vodafone sim in, updated, now I can get 4g in the menu again
    Thanks for the help!
