What is the CB nation doing to combat spam on the BB10 devices?

My two gmail accounts deal with their own spam so they are no issue.

I've got I think 6 or 7 business email accounts, all small business with no in network spam killers. All hosted on IMAP. They all come to my outlook on my desktop which runs SpamBayes. This does a good job of clearing out the spam on my desktop. However as you can imagine, the Hub on my Z10 is like a constant advert for viagra and various chinese spams.

I've got sync intervals set to 24 hours to try and conserve battery, using push.

Is there a trick I'm missing here to deal with that spam?

Until Outlook runs it's rules on the email messages the messages themselves will remain in your inbox and be delivered to the handheld. That is if I understand you correctly. Do you have Outlook running continuously to filter the messages into the TrashCan?

That's the solution I'm running currently.

I wondered if anyone has an alternative.

I've got my sync intervals set long so it's not cheering through the battery.

If you are relying on Outlook to filter out the Spam versus scanning for Spam before it gets to your desktop client, then you are pretty much stuck with the solution as email scanning is not performed on BlackBerry devices. To be fair in don't think any more devices scan email for Spam or viruses.

My suggestion would be to get some protection for those business email systems or move them to a hosted and protected solution.

    Thanks for your input.

I thought what we were already doing was all we could do. Was just interested if anyone has thought of something I hadn't.
