With all this leaks and updates and android runtime I am seeing and finding I am bit confused. Right now I'm on 10.2.0 official and whenever I want an android app I have to connect my device to the pc, convert the apk thanks to the debug token method and then install it through the chrome extension. With my fw version, Am I able to just download the already converted .bars that I find online and install them through the chrome extension? Or with this version (10.2.0.424) I have to convert them myself? And, another question: if I connect another device do I have to install the debug tokens also on it to make converted bars work? And "my" debug tokens can be at the same time on more than on device? Sorry if I mess up a bit.. ;-)

Why don't you try sideloading via the Chrome Extension?
For me it was the easiest way of doing it, well before the latest leaks -10.2.1.1055, 10.2.1.1259 or /10.2.1.1925 where you can download the apks directly from a store and then install it on your phone.

What do you mean? Chrome can not only install bars into my phone but also convert them from apk? Without debug tokens or anything else? Appreciate your answer

    Hey!

If you are going to use Chrome Extension, You just have to download the bar files using good e reader page, they have a lot of bar files updated and ready to be used in bb10.

There's no need for debug token or anything similar. If you dont want to do all this things, is better to install the newest leaks, not too much bugs and works really good!

!!! Just tried and downloaded google maps in .bar format. And it works!!! But..but.. isn't the runtime locked on official 10.2.0?!? Wooow! The runtime I have installed is the one published on BBWorld. How can I check which android runtime version I have on my device? Thx a lot!

I never used debug. I use dbpb or vnbb (not sure if that's the acronym) and sideload bars from cb or other sites.

So in 10.2.0 having an unlocked or locked runtime it does make no difference..?

Hahah im glad it works and I really don't know what does the unlock or locked runtime makes to each app. Be happy that it works and keep sideloading more and more apps.

    Have a good one!
