Just got on 10.3. One of features of the BlackBerry 10 OS I have come to appreciate above most has been the native browser capacity to resume a download ifthe network fails or a download session is interupted for any reason. That feature seems to be gone on 10.3....has anyone noticed or am I doing something wrong?

IDK, maybe something specific to the Passport? What OS? If it's a small file you won't see the pause for long.

The capacity to resume must be also set server side. Is it the case ?

Sounds logical to me. OP, try something simple, like a pic off Google.

@BigBadWulf: I am using the BB Passport and i'm on official 10.3.0.1418...

@Joshua42: I am using the same simcard i was using on my Z3. i could download large movie clips (as high as 500MB) with my network provider so long as i have enough data balance so server side access is not an issue.

i specifically loved the feature because i could resume the download of a large file if for any reason i loose radio signal during commuting, it just picks up where it stopped rather wasting my data restarting the download

could this be a passport issue?

Nothing to do with the network The HTTP (or FTP) server must have the Resume option set. If you have this ability with your Z3 on the same server now, that's not your issue. You have to test it "now" though, as server configuration can be changed. What worked yesterday, may be not working today.

Thanks @Joshua42...fortunately i still have my Z3 and i have put another simcard in it. i am still able to download from the same site and resume interrupted downloads on the Z3 but not able to do same on the same site on the Passport

so i'm guessing this is a passport issue?

So it's not an issue server side I guess your best bet is to create a small test with the issue, easy to reproduce, and give it to your Passport's fellows in the dedicated section of the forum... Let's see !
