    Hi Crackberry Members,

I need help understanding how to downgrade from leaked 10.3.1 to 10.3. 10.3.1 is too buggy for me and I would like to go back to 10.3. Can someone show me step by step? I was thinking of simply re-running the non-destructive OS of 10.3 over 10.3.1. Any advise?

    Thank you in advance.

When changing branch, use autoloaders and if possible don't restore any backup.

By the way, a buggy 10.3.1.938 could be caused by a restore. Otherwise, it's stable enough to be used as a daily driver.

I think you just download autoloader and run...

Why not try clean install from Autoloader to be sure you are not inheriting any bug from previous updates.

I have been enjoying OS leak by simply not restoring backups nor any non-destructive updates.

Even if you are downgrading, I think you need proper wipe, and Autoloader.

I don't do autoloaders because I can't stand re-doing everything/setups. I know Contact X and SMS backups can fix things but I never liked the reload which is why non-destructive is preferred.

Agreed : resetting everything is something I don't like either. Now it's still the best method to get a stable os when changing branch.

99.9% sure you will have to run the autoloader for 10.3.0.1418 to revert from 10.3.1 os. And you won't be able to restore from a 10.3.1 backup. You'll need to restore from the last 10.3.0 back up you made.

Saying this, if you did make a backup of 10.3.0.1418 before loading this latest os, you s/b all good.

I know you stated you didn't want to do destructive load, but if you have backup as always recommended before doing any update anyway, this "downgrade" should be painless for you.

BTW, why are you wanting to go back?

To go back u need to run an autoloader. And if u run a back up then it could still be buggy.

You should be able to downgrade just fine in Sachesi actually.
If you just download the files directly off the 'Search' with default settings and then drag that to install.

Xsacha now this is a game changer, now I can test 10.3.1 on my daily driver and if not acceptable for daily use I can go back nondestructive to 10.3.0. Lots of learned words and BBM chats that can't loose.

Just to confirm if I want to go back I just need to drag drop the file I created by splitting debrick and getting the APPS + core OS + radio for 10.3.0.xxxx? Got them from the 10.3.0 threat.

Well then this is exactly why you are finding 10.3.1 "buggy".

You should really be using autoloaders for leaks because BlackBerry hasn't squashed most of the the non-destructive update quirks yet. You are almost always left with some strange residual corrupt setting that messes things up in rather unpredictable ways.

Since you really need to use an autoloader now to downgrade, you might as well stick to 10.3.1.938 and do it properly this time.

It's like a Windows computer. Every now and then, you really need to do a fresh install to get rid of a lot of the garbage that accumulates behind the scenes over time.

Thank you. I have downloaded the OS files under Search but what is the next step. When I select Grab Links, the files are in text format. Also, I checked under my downloads folder and I can't find any folders/files I just downloaded. I am stuck @ the 'drag and drop' phase as there is nothing I can drag.

If you use 'Grab Links' you need a download manager to paste the links in.
Otherwise, use the 'Download All' button to use Sachesi's inbuilt download manager.

I've found the download all button, from there what is the next step? How would I process the actual install on the install tab? Will the downloaded files automatically appear in the install que after it's done? I am trying to go through autoloader but my Z30 is not functional well. It says I have 10.3.0.1418 installed, however, the none of the apps work. The Hub is a blank screen. When going into any apps or settings, it would crash back to the main apps page.

So after it downloads all the files to the folder (in same dir as Sachesi), just drag the folder on to the install tab when you're ready.

It sounds like you only installed the Core of 10.3.0.1418 previously. Sachesi will be able to work out what you need to install automatically and will only select those apps to download.

In your browser, go to "settings" and then find where your downloads are set to go. To make finding them easy, set it for the "desktop".

The files download OK but afterwards there is no folder in Sachesi. But once connected to the program it says the files are downloaded but I have no folder to drag and drop. How do I wipe the entire device w/o having access to settings?

There is a Wipe option in Sachesi. In 1.9.9 it's in the Install tab. In 2.0.0, it has been moved to the Device tab.

The folder is in the same directory as Sachesi.exe.
