Does anyone know if BlackBerry 10 supports uhs-1?

I can't seem to find that information anywhere and am holding off on buying a new microsd card until I do.

Yes it does. This is nothing more than a speed rating.

I know it's a speed rating. It's faster than class 10 cards. So are you saying that uhs-1 is supported and I will see the faster speeds or just that it will work as a regular class 10 card?

Your question is "is it suppported" ...
I have no idea if you will gain advantage of using Uhs-1 card over class 10. The one I use is Samsung Uhs-1 (I think its rated minimum of 45 mb/s, its faster than the Sandisk Uhs-1 Costco sells, have that one as well).
I am not aware of a benchmark we can run on the phones but perhaps, I can do big file copy test between the 2. Just give me some time...

I appreciate that. The only phone that seems to support it right now is the S4 with the i9500 processor. It's unlikely that we would have the speed advantages but I would like to be sure first.

    Test results:
    476mb, single file.
    Windows7:
    Samsung U1
    MicroSD to SSD(read): 7.5 sec
SSD to MicroSD (write): 26.5 sec
    SanDisk U1
    MicroSD to SSD(read): 11.5 sec
SSD to MicroSD (write): 50 sec
    Same file on the BB10:
    Samsung U1
    MicroSD to Phone: 41 sec
    Phone to MicroSD: 63 sec

    Results are quite disappointing.

Thanks for the test. I guess we won't be seeing anything uhs in phones for a while.

    Apreciate your help.
