Could it be that the 10.2 calendar is Air Based and had to be re-written in cascades?! That's the only logical explanation I could think of!

The new calendar makes problems rather than solving them.

I think we should start a campaign to get Growing Numbers back. Who can we contact to get our voices heard? There's no way we can let BlackBerry remove such innovative features and replace them with things that hinder our busy schedules.

I don't know. There was an uproar when BB10 first came out that it didn't sync with Desktop Outlook and they fixed that. Where that uproar was and how they roared at BlackBerry I don't know.

I, too, miss the growing numbers.... I also miss the vertical bars. They have been replaced with dots. Anyone else run across this? I'm running a Z10 with 10.3.1.821. See the picture.

Dots and squares. The squares are for all day events. The one sole blue dot was an appointment in my local account set to display as blue. The green dots and squares do correspond to my work EAS account set up to use green. The blue square is a task due date also originating from my work EAS account. Why it's blue, I don't know, but it's a lighter blue.

Yes I do miss the busy days having bigger numbers than the quieter days, don't see the sense in removing that feature at all.

And the white and green colour scheme is vile. It's marginally better with Dark Theme turned on.

The dots/squares instead of the vertical lines are for all 10.3.1.
And yes, I prefer the lines from 10.3.0.

Yeah, they wouldn't limit this to just one device. It's in the OS across all devices.

In response to your question 'why is it blue?'... that's peculiar if your EAS account is set to green. Is it possible that tasks show up as that light blue?

Edit: I created a test task and it showed up as a blue square in my calendar.

Aside from the flat keyboard,.. the one thing that bothers me the most about 10.3, is the changes to the calendar. Specifically, the fact that they did away with the ingenious "growing numbers", and they instead expanded every day digit to almost fill in the square (in month view). Now everything looks crowded and you can no longer "get an idea" of which days are busier with a quick glance. As a digital scheduling calendar, is it really more important to display the digits of every day of the month (known information), or to efficiently convey what is scheduled on those days (new information)?

I mean, it now basically looks like a BINGO board.

I hope BlackBerry is not confusing "flat" with needing to remove useful context. Regardless of whether you "like how it looks", as far as utility goes, this is a pretty idiotic change.

The dots and squares are horrible; tells you VERY little of what's going on that day or when.

I sure hope they switch back to lines.

How in the heck is that supposed to be any more logical than the bars? The bars easily identified an all-day event, and the positioning of shorter bars within the day square showed you if it was a morning or afternoon appointment.

Of course. The 10.3 Calendar is the most embarrassing calendar program I have ever used. It's just rotten. I wish wish wish I could use 10.2.1 on my Passport.

I agree completely. I also don't like swiping the Month up to switch between months. I preferred swiping left and right to switch months, and swiping down to see the year view.

If that's how it works in 10.3 then I'm definitely not updating whenever it comes out.

(I don't like that "action triage" and "modern flat" UI anyway.)
