I agree completely. I also don't like swiping the Month up to switch between months. I preferred swiping left and right to switch months, and swiping down to see the year view.

This is actually the biggest source of confusion for me in the Calendar app. Swiping up and down is just so messy looking (especially compared to the old calendar app). Such an awful change.

So after a week or so on the Passport exclusively, the 10.3.0.908 calendar in Month View is useless. All I see are grey bars indicating an "appointment/meeting", but there is no way to differentiate the calendars until I drill down by tapping on that date. Then I lose the ability to see more than that week until I tap on the header. Maybe I'm spoilt by the Z10's screen, but it's super annoying to plan out a month.

Since the difference between the 10.3.0 calendar and the 10.3.1 calendar is that the vertical bars are replaced by colored dots (one color for each account), I guess you'll be the online person who will prefer the 10.3.1 calendar to the 10.3.0 one. Lucky you

I think both the 10.3.0 and 10.3.1 calendars are useless.

I thought there was nothing wrong with the 10.2.1 calendar, where the vertical bars were divided into coloured segments. That scheme showed me both when an event was happening and which calendar it came from at a single glance. Sure, BlackBerry may want to put a fresh coat of paint on the app, but removing half of the 10.2.1 functionality in each iteration is bizarre. Form should not replace function!

On top of it, the Calendar is now setting up new appointments as Busy by default, unlike before where the behaviour was in line with MS Outlook - the default was Free.

Please bring back the growing number feature. Yes the interface the 10.3.0 calendar is confusing to say the least. All event with Free status shouldn't be shown as a giant bar. It makes the calendar busy looking.

10.3.2.500 has got the option to toggle off the dots and squares and to toggle on growing numbers and the vertical side bars.
BlackBerry listened and we are all thankful for that. Having options is good, having a BlackBerry is good Hehe.

Now if you're asking how to get it, please read what's being provided here in the forum.


