It probably has macros that use Visual Basic which Docs doesn't support.

You can't used Microsoft Office on Android unless you have 10.3.1

It doesn't matter which app, as long as you have a wide screen!

Not going to lie. I don't use docs to go. I bought the Passport strictly for Coin Dozer. Hope they update the app and it works better for you.

Upload it to Google Drive/Microsoft OneDrive and use the HTML5 version through the browser.

I get this a lot. There are a few things that 10.3.1 just cant handle. Wish there was an update to fix some of these. When your phone has the same specs of some older computers you think an excel workbook would be fine.

Docs2go works a lot better than the office suite that came with my wife's iPhone 4s...

Strangely the android docs to go that was a free give away on amazon a few weeks ago is better.
Stranger still ms office for windows phone is rubbish but the android phone iphone version of office mobile is full feature.
Not had any problems with docs to go myself.
You could try office mobile from snap? For business use though you should pay for a license. Think it's a free download so you can probably test first.
Odd you have problem might be something to do with macros?
