I use it every once in awhile when I happen to notice the word I need has appeared, but primarily I just tap because that's what I'm fastest doing.

Depends. If I'm hammering out a quick sentence, no. If I'm writing a longer message or email with long words or common phrases that the keyboard just knows, I use flick typing a lot in this case.

Yes, I use it all the time. It's awesome. Sometimes I write whole paragraphs for work that can be somewhat repetitive. I love this feature!

I find it better than having an additional row of predictive text which takes up space, and disrupts the flow

I flick very often. Great feature, and I really miss it when I use my wife's Q10. Especially on bigger words, or sentences I type often. For those, I can flick pretty much every single word. It's exciting when you're flicking, and you're on word 7 or 8 and you still haven't typed a single thing!

My typing speed would be cut in half if I stopped using the keyboard flicking. This enhancement of the Swiftkey keyboard is brilliant and extremely useful to me. Of course, how useful it is to you will depend on how often you use the same or similar phrasing in your typed communications. Once the software learned my writing style, it became a real time saver. YMMV.

My god YES! Flicking is so awesome. It took me a while to get used to it, however, now I can't live without it.

When I was watching bb 10 review videos, I thought I would be using the flicking a lot, but now that I actually picked up a Z10 and used the touch keyboard.

I rarely ever use the keyboard flicking and my typing is the fastest when I just use the auto correct and type normally.

Is this the case for other people as well?

Yes, love it. Used my wife's iPhone a couple days ago and was disappointed because I was looking for things to flick up ,but there wasn't anything, I had to physically type out the whole message.

I love flicking (for the most part)

The only part I don't like about flicking is when the word you want appears on the space bar and you have to tap instead of flick. I have a hard time noticing it sometimes down on the space bar because I am waiting for it to appear on the frets. That's the only part about it I don't like; it makes for a disjointed experience

Uh, no. I know HOW to properly use it just fine. It's just in my 4 years of typing on glass, I've gotten proficient at rapidly tapping. It's all muscle memory. The second it takes to make sure the right word is hovering above the letter and then flick slows me down if I'm trying to go fast. I do use it sometimes when it correctly guesses a word I'm typing that's over 6 or 7. Another time I use it is when the phone is laying on my desk and I am quickly replying to a text in a few words. Every so often, the flick doesn't register and I have to do it again. In those instances it would've been faster for me to type anyway.

I "flick" all the time (and anyone who remembers Jean Shepherd might smile a bit were I to say "Flick Lives!").

While I do like the auto-correct option, there are times when the phone fights me, as it proposes a correction that I do not want, and the word suggested above the space bar I sometimes can't quite catch, resulting in the "corrected" word being used. It's really quite aggravating.

There are also times that I smile, and wonder, where some of the suggested words come from. Just last week my Z10 suggested "Kucinich" above the 'u' key, in spite of the fact that the word I was spelling started with something other than 'K'. And where did it learn "Kucinich" in the first place? I may have typed it once, months ago.

But there are times when I can write an entire message just by flicking, mostly. It's spooky.

I also have noticed, I think, that the words the Z10 knows and proposes are context-based...that the suggestions that come up while using BBM won't be duplicated when using Facebook, for example.
