    Starting with what is working:

DLNA streaming to my media center (mp3)
    FLAC playback on my Z10
FLAC playback on my media center

However, trying to playback a FLAC via DLNA streaming fails with a "This file contains an unsupported media format" message on the Z10. Interestingly, it will stop playback on the media center, so something is going on, but I'm not sure if it's a limitation of my Z10 or my media center.

My media center is a Win7 x64 machine running XBMC 11 (Eden) for a DLNA client, any ideas?

I tried connecting to my PS3 yesterday and it told me that the media format was unsupported as well...

Maybe flac isn't in the list of DLNA supported codecs...? UPNP AV is the protocol used by DLNA and it can stream anything.

I think it depends on what the device receiving the DLNA stream is capable of....

my reasoning: i was playing back some 720p and 1080p files from the z10 to my samsung smart TV.....
    .mp4 .avi .mkv all worked

i tried similar files to my xbox and i got a codec error - however they would still play fine on the blackberry.

I just did the same with flac audio.
works fine on the berry as we know....
plays back fine on the samsung smart TV
tried playing it on the xbox and i got the unsupported file issue.
DLNA is just a protocol/container to transfer the stream - the phone isnt trans-coding anything. man...if it was, battery life would probably not be very good

Ok, I'll poke XBMC a little more then. It's good to know that Z10 is capable of streaming flac.

Yeah same here. MP3's that used to work before I hook my Z10 up to BlackBerry Link all worked. Now files are missing, not copied or even tells me that the media is not supported. Needless to say that all worked well before I connected my machine to BB Link.

    Slightly beeped off.
