As title reads,
I do not want my facebook contacts from showing in my contacts list, so I turned them off but the option seems to keep turning itself on again.

anyone else experiencing the same?

Mine used to have this issue, with both Facebook and Twitter contacts. Seems to have stopped since the 10.1 update though. Are you running 10.1?

Yes mine did it. I got tired of turning them off all the time so I deleted my Facebook account. I've been much happier since.

I actually deleted the facebook, linkedin, and twitter apps altogether to solve the issue. I'm now only accessing FB through the browser. I couldn't be happier to not be bothered by another FB notification ever again.

In settings of the Contacts app. There are on/off switches for your various accounts.

Thanks bud... never use that icon as I always go into contacts directly through phone icon

i have the official. never installed un released software. I swear it has happened again since the update. I will try to see if if happens again in the coming days and do a fresh os install if problem persists

Happened to me when I tried to disable twitter contacts. Fixed with the official 10.1 update

The addition of the Facebook contacts to the contact manager is the most annoying "feature" of the phone. If it were smart enough to not include them when trying to compose and email, BBM or text message I could tolerate it a little more. I can see some, very little, benefit in having them there, as long as turning them off indeed turns them off. When you have 100 Facebook friends it wouldn't be so bad, but a thousand, please.

Came looking for a solution to this exact problem. Even after disabling facebook contacts in the contact list, they still appear as suggestions when seeking a contact in the "To:" field of a new message. I'm running 10.1 official on the Q10.
