Howdy,
I have a Z30 with 10.3.1, and use an Otterbox with magnet holster. The Otterbox has a nice feature to clip the phone in backwards in landscape mode, so it has a little stand thing. But I can't figure out how to stop the phone from sleeping immediately when put in the holster. It's not the "LOCK the phone" when holster...just simply sleeping.
Anyone know if this is possible? Can't find it anywhere!!!
I'm surprised nobody has been able tell I totally missed something. Any suggestions?

There is no real way around it. It's how it works.
As soon as the magnet gets recognised, it will sleep

You can't do that. That's the interaction between the touch screen and the magnet in the holster. It has nothing to do with the OS.
Every touch screen will be turned off when in contact with a magnet.

Why would you want it to stay on when holstered?
Blackberry's have always shutoff the display when holstered

personally because i have a great car / office mounting system for devices that relies on magnets.

Well my original post was my example of why I want that. The Otterbox holster allows the phone to sit on a desktop in the landscape position perfect for watching videos. However, as soon as you snap the phone is backwards to do that, the device sleeps. Kind of counter productive. Otterbox cases have done this for a long time, and it's always been pretty handy. Just not so anymore, with whatever changes have occurred in the OS.
