This may help with the staggeringly annoying auto fill (assistance?) Blackberry has given us.
This worked for me on Gmail.
    From Gmail settings;.
Set Gmail to manually add address's,delete all contacts you don't want.
Sign out of all Google accounts on all devices.
After a back up, or at least knowing you have previously backed up to Blackberry Link, enable data wipe of the phone,(from settings) it will eventually show a deleting of data symbol much like a shredder,be patient before next step...half hour ish...with the symbol still showing, connect phone to Blackberry Link(Windows pc, dunno on a Mac) and hit the restore button. You may need to faff around with phone restarts and such, don't worry keep trying,
Sit back and monitor, took me about 90 minutes,it will seem not much is happening or maybe stuck, once the device has reset to home screen you are safe to disconnect and use the phone,Blackberry Link may seem to be exchanging data at this point,it isn't,merely a bit hung.
I'm now enjoying a phone as if straight out of the box, this worked for Outlook and Mail.com too. Also have a clean install of Blackberry Link as this smooths the operation.

I don't see the issue with the suggested email addresses in the compose email screen. They are simply there as a suggestion. If you don't want to send an email to them, then don't tap on the name. Seems like a simpler solution then deleting and restoring and everything else you suggested. AND less time consuming. Also, wouldn't auto fill just become re-populated in a short period of time anyways?

Are you referring instead in word substitution or auto-correct with the space bar?

If I'm interpreting your post entirely wrong, I apologize.

I am aware the auto fill on native email is useful to many, however,to me ,and I see others, it's a massive pain as it's so easy to send to the wrong address, this can be a big problem.
Word substitution/auto correct is a different animal and I use it a lot as it learns, a handy tool indeed.
Therefore your gracious apology is not needed here, save it for another day

Forgot to add, yes indeed auto fill will become repopulated but you can housekeep by keeping a close eye on contacts (in mail accounts) and remove as needed, then a the history will always be contemporary in auto fill forms.

This doesn't work. I've always had the option to only add address manually on my account. The suggested email addresses are pulled from incoming as well as outgoing emails. There is no rhyme or reason to it and I can guarantee this will crop back up the more you receive/send emails. They should have never done away with that setting in BBOS because it is annoying.

I can only make it stick by assiduously maintaining a close eye on contacts, and housekeeping each account virtually daily, you are completely correct on the device seeking the information from in and outbound mails. I have even plumbed the desperate depths by sending myself numerous mails to repopulate the field.
I just hope Blackberry will adjust this in future updates.
It's screamingly apparent this is a major pain.

I don't run leaks so I'm waiting for 10.3 to arrive on the Q10, but in the meantime this looks positive...
