Hello guys!!! I see that major brands like Netflix, Instagram or Vine, are snoobing BlackBerry really bad, why is that? Is it really difficult to make an app on a secure platform like BB10? I would like to see BlackBerry on top where it belongs, and I'm a consumer.

It is not that it is difficult, in as much as there has to be a good enough reason from the device selling point for the developers to take or want to take interest in developing for the BB platform. As we all know, this has not been the case. I would think that with more Z10's being purchased on line and with Z30 that things would start to pop, but I guess for now it is just wishful thinking

All those companies would have to do is open their API. Netflix does, but it is limited (for good reason).

If the company is using webservices to handle interactions, there is no reason why they couldn't open the API for some one else to mske the app. Or possibly, just make it in HTML5 and habe it easily available for all platforms.

    Yes and no.
If you already have an api (if needed) and can develop in c++, qt, or JavaScript, you could pick up BlackBerry 10 development rather quickly and make your app available.
If not, it would be difficult.

Our company develops apps in iOS, Android and BB10. BB10 is the easiest and quickest to develop applications. This is in C++/Cascades. The fact that there are apps like Netflix, Instragram and Vine not being native is a decision for some reason by those companies. It has nothing to do with the ability to develop on BB10.

With all those comments, I would say those big brands, don't want to develop apps for BlackBerry for "personal" reasons. I'm really optimistic that BlackBerry sales will grow in a near future and developer will create apps "built for BlackBerry"
