What is the most efficient way to transfer all data from a BBQ10 (OS10) to a BB9720 (OS7).

I'm assuming OS 7 Desktop Software can get all the data onto the 9720 but is that compatible with a OS10 device?

Why not? Is the software defunct? No way to sync via PC? What about Bluetooth contacts transfer?

Why not? You'd be moving between two 10 year old devices.

    Try an SD card maybe?

You are aware that BIS is shut down, right?

I don't know of any functional SD card backup app for OS10 or SD restore for OS 7. I am well aware BIS shut down, yet I use my 9720 every day have friends using Q5s.

There is no backup restore tool, as I already indicated.

You'd be left with just transferring files.

From the beginning, BlackBerry never had much of data transfer forwards from BBOS to BB10, much less going backwards. BlackBerry wanted people off BBOS, so they never considered a way to go back.

The Desktop Manager for BBOS devices will not see BB10 phones. And BlackBerry Link for BB10 devices can't see BBOS phones.

I seem to recall that you could export contacts as a CSV file that could then import into another contacts app, or open in Excel. Then you can copy/paste the file while connected to a PC via USB and browsing the device.

Could be wrong. It's been 9 years now since I last used a BBOS phone.
