Well, NOW what am I going to do? Suddenly, this Dev Alpha C is too awesome to eventually have to give back to BlackBerry. Anyone know if they can still remotely disable the device, especially if that particular function may have been closed by the build leaked?

Yep, the Dev Alpha C isn't like the A or B, it isn't crippled with limited amount of RAM and with the full OS, it's just as good as any Q10.

Actually, in my opinion, the Dev Alpha C is better than a Q10, simply because pretty soon, anyone will be able to walk into a store and walk out with a Q. Not so with the ultra limited DAC.

Kinda sucks, they made the Dev Alpha C so ridiculously awesome that it's the best BlackBerry to date so far. They've confirmed that there is no trade up offer for it and they will more than likely still ask for it back. It's gonna be hard saying bye to the DAC.

We gave up very rare and limited Dev Alpha A and B devices to get a fully functional Red LEZ10, but we will soon be giving up fully functional, very rare, DACs with no device in return. Not to sound greedy, but that's going to suck. It will make it to where developers will have to buy a $600 phone just to have a QWERTY BlackBerry 10 test device. I won't be making that large of an investment to write applications on one device. I'm sure most of the smaller developers feel the same way.

Hopefully, they just let us keep em. It's a Q10 in a ugly housing, what in the world would they need a bunch of strange looking Q10s for? Lol. Just seems like it'd be easier and cheaper to let us keep it so we don't have to buy a Q10 for testing.

Hmm, read that twitter conversation and my heart sank. No time bomb, but also no trade up. But they will ask for the devices back.

Why no LE Q10? Expensive, sure... but what, only 1500 Dev Alpha C's made and distributed, right?

Maybe trade for a full Q10. Don't need to be special or distinguished. Just send maybe a BlackBerry pin to dev's...

I believe that 1500 Dev Alpha Cs is just pocket money for BB and it does not make sense to collect them back.

Sales on BB are so low that I'll most likely don't buy Q10 if they take DAC back. But there is good chance that I'll continue to improve my apps if the leave in my hands.

Also not sure how they want to motivate developers to return DAC back.

Brothers, with the Dev Alpha Beta Loader C shows SQN100-3, but originally version is showing? The Dev Alpha A-2 shows me PRO100. Is there a document of all versions including Dev Alpha teams?

What's the difference between this autoloader and the official from the dev website ?
I mean, is the official not full ?
    What's missing ?

    Thanks.

I recall seeing that on the folded paper poster thing that came in the box.

Also, mysteriously, I received two... only one had a "property of rim" sticker on the battery cover, the other had no sticker.

    Official is lackinf:
    - full accounts (can't add twitter, Facebook, Evernote, LinkedIn)
    - therefore, respective native apps cannot run (when I was running official, I just packed and side loaded the android versions)
    - other additions to builds > 1300 are missing like mobile BlackBerry Link access, per contact ring tones, etc
