I'm on 10.3.1.2558 and I'm loving this version of the OS so far. Over night an OTA got pushed to my phone and I don't really want to upgrade. The new OS will only take effect if I restart my phone so I haven't done that.

I was wondering, is there a way to delete the OS it has downloaded but not installed yet?

    Look! It's Zedzilla 30!

What's the problem? Why don't you switch OFF automatic updates?

I did now! But it's to late, the update has already been downloaded to my phone. The last step left in order for it to take effect is a restart. So as long as I don't restart, I'll continue to stay on OS 10.3.1.2558. But a restart is inevitable, eventually something will occur that I need to restart my device.

So question is how can I delete the OS that's been downloaded but not installed yet? Is that even possible?

I doubt it's possible, as it has not only downloaded, but it has already installed. Just bite the bullet and allow the upgrade to go on.

If you have come that far you can't delete it anymore. It has already been installed (!), not only downloaded. You have now two versions of many files on your device memory. During the next reboot a lot of these files (the older ones) will be deleted. I would suggest this. The situation you currently have is a mix between old and new and needs a lot of space.

SOB.....i knew that was going to be the case. Alright alright. Well I'm in transit into my office at the moment. I'll do the reboot in a safe controllable environment.

Thanks for the replies and I'll provide a first impressions of the newer OS by EOD.

If it's any consolation, I haven't seen or heard of any new issues in the latest update that didn't exist in previous OS versions! So far, it looks like everything that was fixed in 10.3.1.2558 is still fixed in 10.3.1.2576 and the new bug with the feedback volume in 10.3.1.2558 is fixed too!
