Outlook, Apple Mail, etc. all use blue for replies.

Working where I do now I've come to realise this as we use Outlook. It even annoys me there.

Is there a logical point for the industry standard of emails replies to be in blue?

Is it simply just to be able to identify the original message "easier" if realising that you're at the top of the page is too difficult?

I don't like the blue color when answering to an email either.
Agreed. I would really like the option to have a black default font.

That does not mean it's an intelligent thing to do!!

It absolutely does not help reading long emails or understanding the sending order.

Outlook allows you to change the default font setting.
