Looking for help about dead device
I been so positive on BB but this really leaves me sour on the device.

I am seeing nothing on screen at all.

Z10 -STL2 won't boot after charging all night, nothing OS level changed before bed.
The LED has code 1 short flash then 1 long flash if battery removed or holding power key.
If regular power on, one long led red light.

Not recognized by computer (link updated)
I removed SIM and MicroSD, no change.
    Swapped battery as well.

Was an update pushed out? Can't see that breaking it like this.
What kind of HW issue should I expect with this.
I am using an older bb curve charger which has not changed in over a year.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

    Hello

    Reload the os.

If the phone isn't recognized on the usb port don't give up. It will work.

Download a full os autoloader and do it from scratch.
    Don't use BlackBerry link.

    Your phone is not dead.

Try this. Hold power and volume up, light will go solid then go out. Release buttons when light goes out and after a few seconds u might see the white BlackBerry words. I hope so for you anyway but this worked on a couple z10's I have had brought to me that after an update, I think, now do this when restarted or when the battery dies

    Hope it helps

Sorry to tell you, but...it's a goner.

I had 2 of them get bricked after the 10.3.1 update. Exact same behaviour as yours except I got a blue screen on both before they kicked the bucket. It's extremely disappointing.

Try removing the battery while it says connecting to boot rom and then reinstall it

As far as I know, OP, the phone's a goner. The same happened to my Z10 back in early Nov. I felt bad that even with all the care that I took of it, it went kaput in just over 18 months. You can only feel so bad because it's mostly about luck at that point; so many Z10 owners still have their devices from launch day still going good.

I used that opportunity to get a Passport and haven't looked back since. If you're willing to wait it out till the slider comes out, I would personally suggest getting a used Z30 or something for now. Wipe it down hard with some disinfectant though.

Via CB10 on this beast they call the Passport
