Some have been able to restore with no issues. But as always there is a possibility of issues being caused by restoring information.

Only one way to find out, give it a shot, you can always go back! I finally went with no restore option after I had a few with full restore

I did with no problems. Others have reported issues so go forward at your own risk.

On STL100-4 Verizon. For me, a restore kills BBM, when initially it was working okay.
Same here.

unable to restore the back up file after upgrading it to 10.2.1.1055. pl help .. it shows and error. not able to resotre my contacts from my previous version.
I did a restore with no problems.
Except that I removed all accounts from the phone before doing the backup so there were no emails, calendar and contact info to backup and later restore.
My sole contact source is my work exchange account. And I get them back when I recreate the EAS account in the phone so that's never an issue. It seems to keep other issues from happening too.
I also reinstall all my BBW apps and then side loaded apps before doing the restore.
Works just fine so far.
Also, I never did a security wipe at any time during the process. I thought about it, but figured I could always try it should something not work right. But the need never came up.

I did restore and have minor problems. Then perhaps I don't think I know my Z10s full capacity and what it is capable of.
