Should work on most varieties of Linux (with mono installed) - and theoretically Mac too (also with mono) but I have no way of testing.

Requires .NET Framework 4.5+ for Windows OR Mono 3.2.8+ for Linux/Mac

For Linux/Mac Mono version 4 or higher is highly recommended for more consistent reliable results. If installing through your distros package repository make sure you have the mono-complete package. With mono you run the SAME EXE as windows users do and it should work.

    Recent Changelog

3.1.0.1 bugfix - in some circumstances DBBT may have thought your phone was not properly logged in.

3.1.0.0 another fairly major rewrite. changed zip handling library, optimized blitz handling memory usage, and some speed improvements too. Almost all code was touched in some way and I tried to test it all, but if something doesn't quite work let me know.

3.0.0.1 fixed a few minor things with the backup/restore user interface
    - more memory optimizations
    - one last place uses a lot more memory than it should, that's when working with a blitz file. Still working on that one.

3.0.0.0 - Backup and restore functions added.
    - Selective backup/restores
    - Link Compatible backups created.
    - May be a little rough around the edges, will get some refinement over next few releases.
    - Untested with devices with enterprise partitions.
    - Use of backups - like the rest - is at your own risk.

2.9.0.1 - Major optimizations for speed* and memory usage.
    - Peak memory usage is in some cases reduced to as low as 10% of what it was.
    - App extraction of multiple apps can complete much faster (my system went from 100 seconds to 35 seconds).
    - Bar file verification process is also much faster. (again my system went from 150 seconds to 45 seconds)

*Speed improvements will vary from system to system.

2.8.0.5 - Mainly fixes for linux
    - Drag/Drop didn't work sometimes (apparently qt desktop managers like lxqt?), catch that and providing workarounds so nothing depends on drag/drop.
    - Some visual fixes.

2.8.0.4 font size larger again in software lookup history.
some fixes for mono - mainly in drag drop adding files and in device communication.

2.8.0.3 Lots of changes to make the program mono compliant for cross-platform support.
Mono is required for Linux/Mac ( http://www.mono-project.com/docs/get...arted/install/ ) Version 3.2.8 should work, version 4 is better.
On Linux a terminal window does open with DBBTool, don't close that.
Mono support only tested on Ubuntu 15.04 with mono. Given the wide variety of Linux distributions there may be some differences on how they work. If errors are encountered let me know.
lzo.dll is no longer included or required.
Windows - long filename limits now detected and properly reported.
    Various other small bug fixes.

Changes to mono version vs windows:
    • The backup manager is currently disabled
    • Plugging in or unplugging a phone could take a few extra seconds to recognize there has been a change.
    • Linux mono has some limits, like a \ in a folder name is technically valid, but mono translates that to a / so when it gets to my code it's already mangled and unusable. Linux/Mac users may need to keep in mind that some quirks like these may exist and if they're fixable I'll do what I can but sometimes they're not.

2.7.2.3 Fixes wallpaper installation errors - see http://forums.crackberry.com/bb10-le...l#post11709118

2.7.2.2 added SQW100-4 Passport. Hardware ID was just obtained.

2.7.2.1 recompiled properly, use this, don't use 2.7.2.0

2.7.2.0 just fixed URLs for Z3 OS downloads

2.7.1.9 fixed one error message that was showing up but had no effect
fixed a few file download URLs so they're adapted to whatever version is requested for download.

2.7.1.8 small fix: delta upgrades were being recognized as OS updates even if they were for apps.

    2.7.1.7 small bugfix

    2.7.1.6
    * Zoom Zoom Zoom - no, not any faster, but the ability to make things BIGGER

    2.7.1.5
    * More control and options with update downloads, better download user interface.
    * Download accelerator - faster downloads on fast connections
    * Can choose what device radio/OS to download no matter what you search for.

Version numbering note: Version numbers mean nothing, I increase it when I release, and increase the numbering however I feel like it. it indicates that one version is newer than another, but is not indicative of how much has changed.

Nope, I'd have to port the project to Mono, and from what I understand it's not a quick process. It may happen one day, but definitely no plans for it. That's the drawback to developing in .NET is that it's not portable. And I'm too far into it now to start over on a different platform.

Makes sense, one if the draw backs of having a Mac. Good thing I have one pc in the house, can't wait to try this out tonight.

Found the problem... login protocol version 3 seems to handle the login a little differently when you actually have a password, but when you have no password it works just fine.

Reverted to version 2 while I research whats different.

    2.1.0.2 fixes this.

Darcy, I don't seem to have any issues with protocol version 3 in Sachesi. All I did was change the number from 1 to 3.

When you say you reverted to version 2, do you mean 1?

If your previous comms were over protocol version 2, then yes, that's very different.

Probably something fairly simple that I'm missing. And it only happens when using a password. I'll have time to look at it in the next few days

    Good day to you Darcy,

thank you very much for your work on
this mighty tool. It's very usefull for me.

I wandered to read your little warnings
about the actual bundled new CAP file
(v3.11.0.11) at the last "moved to this" thread.

Sometimes a CAP is newer and sometimes
an much older Version is included. Why ?

    DBBT 1.6.0.0 - CAP 3.10.0.55
    DBBT 1.8.0.1 - CAP 3.10.0.57
    DBBT 1.9.0.1 - CAP 3.11.0.6
    DBBT 1.9.0.2 - CAP 3.11.0.6
    DBBT 1.9.0.4 - CAP 3.10.0.46
    DBBT 2.0.0.0 - CAP 3.10.0.46
    DBBT 2.0.0.1 - CAP 3.10.0.46
    DBBT 2.0.0.2 - CAP 3.11.0.11
    DBBT 2.0.0.3 - CAP 3.11.0.11
    DBBT 2.1.0.2 - CAP 3.11.0.11

Is the actual Version recommend making autoloaders
    or another preferred ?

It doesn't seem to matter at all. They all work the same. 1.9.0.4-2.0.0.1 I goofed up and had an old version, but since it doesn't really make a difference I never really paid that much attention when distributing. It had a copy of cap included and that was the important part.

Obviously BlackBerry does changes, but nobody outside of BlackBerry knows what those changes are.

    2.2.0.0 uploaded.

Mostly small bugfixes. Can compare an OS directly with what's installed on your phone now too if you want. See what apps are newer on your phone, see if you've missed any when doing a non-destructive upgrade (like I did, oops), or whatever else you can think of doing with it.

    Hi Darcy,

i tried to extract/split the cap.exe with your tool from an autoloader.
It worked fine, but the extracted .exe is allways 8byte smaller than the packed one.
I compared the extract with the bundled cap (hex) and at the end some dots are truncated, but extract is still working...
