Honestly I'm satisfied with all the new features of 1055...although a little buggy. But I can't wait to see what the new leaks will bring.

I see some reasons why leaks come slow (or worse stopped)

1. Someone is just holding it up, not sharing it. Again this is really understandable if this will cost one's job. Not an obligation but I hope people identified of touting one would share

2. Buggy Builds. Well, what's the point of getting it if it's going to be worse =)). This may be a cause for #1.

3. Somehow, BlackBerry is aware of this and just increased their security.

No offense to anyone though, just a mere educated guess.

IMHO why can't just BlackBerry make this official. It adds another layer of testing and feedback. At least they could soft launch the OS first before deploying it on the carriers. I'm pretty sure only a small population of the BB10 users uses leaks.

I wonder if BlackBerry doesn't already sanction leaks to an extent. Like they make some builds easier to leak out on purpose or something. I wouldn't be too surprised. I'm sure the employees understand what is kind of okay to leak and what would be absolutely not okay to leak. I doubt it's all rebellious employees risking their job.

Are you suggesting that they release it in the same way Apple did their release of 7 and then in a day or so release an update patch for the release as flaws (of great risk / instability) are found!

I honestly want this to be "officially" released too as I also agree with your point regarding the users of leaks. However, given the position that BlackBerry is now in, I rather theyy release something that's not just an update for names sake, but an update that people love and want and continues on the BlackBerry branding of stability and security.

So, I'd wait... till then, i'll just rock my leak and be proud that I've the latest OS that a small proportion of BB10 users use. (insert cheesey grin).

All OS produces leaks (which is just a beta that's been given to trusted individuals, who then see it fit to release publicly).

Leaks don't represent a flaw in BlackBerry security, as the leaks are not taken directly from a BlackBerry server by an unauthorised / outside / average Joe. The leak is. Initially "given" to a trusted user group / individual.

1055 is working great for me. There will have to be some big changes in the next for me to switch. Battery life is fantastic and all the couple android apps I was missing are now operating. My Z10 is now the phone I hoped it would be. Keep up the good work blackberry!
