Got a Q10 a few weeks ago. Pretty happy with the phone itself but was thinking how it can be improved by allowing user customisation

    1) Allowing custom gestures. I have an Apple Magic Mouse which is a fully touchscreen mouse and there's a program called magic prefs which allows me a high degree of customisation. For example I can swipe with three fingers and program it to launch an application, or set the computer to hibernate. Another one is three taps, or one swipe one tap, so many possibilities.

    2) Customising volume rocker keys. One of the reason I got the Q10 and not a full rectangular touchscreen like 90% of the phones out there now is because i'm not crazy about having to do everything through the screen. It's taking longer to do things I could do quicker on my older phones. Being able to silence the phone quickly is important.

Does any one else have these little things they think would be cool to do on their os10 phone?

Ending call by pressing spacebar would be nice.. otherwise i'd need to look at the phone screen to always be sure

I would like to arrange my icons/folders anywhere I want, not always starting at the top left of the screen. I'm not sure why this has not been implemented.

It would be a nice feature if I could password lock my phone by just holding several keys on the keyboard. At the moment my timeout is set to 30m but there are occasions i'd like to change that to 2-3m quickly.

Color leds for notifications. Make dark theme an option everywhere in the OS, not just certain parts.

So my next wish is an option so that all of the OS would function in landscape mode, like the desktop. So when I'm using landscape i don't have to flip the phone.

Agree with the dark theme thing, would be great, understated and save on battery life.

Another thing I thought off. If it's not possible to turn on/off vibrate using keypad buttons, I noticed tapping the top lock button 3 times turns on Screen Reader mode. Why can't I customise this press-3-times function to make it silent, or loud? Or Tap 4 times for turning on the flashlight. It would be far more useful to me than Screen Reader mode.

If you want to quickly lock your phone, hold the top lock screen key for 2 seconds and up pops options to cancel, lock or restart. Choose lock, and there ya go, phone is password locked.

Or is that not what you meant?

Generally, button shortcuts would be the so nice for customisation, as it's easy to implement.

I can think of a few things i'd like to be able to activate within a second, have to **** around swiping the screen for 5-10s like everyone else.

Dictation shortcut would be nice, to record voice memos very quickly. Hold both volume keys = screenshot. Hold for 2s could be dictaphone, or flashlight, or silence. Something else, hold R, I and O or any other combo of customised keys, and it launches an action. Personalisable. The Q10 has plenty of buttons, may as well make it customisable in a way not possible on other smartphones, so it stands out from the crowd and genuinely makes it more of a productive phone.

I want android home screen with the widgets.. active frames definitely make us agile.. but they make my home screen full of it.. not clean.. that's uncomfortable for me.. and not all of the devs made their active frames beautifully..

Ability to resize the active frame. Or maybe set priority to which one will be on top.

These were already mentioned, just reiterating :

Set LED color per notification type, account, contact, etc.

Set individual notifications volume - i.e., phone volume independent of email volume independent of text, etc...

Nice ideas. There is an LED app but it needs an active frame which I think is a bit annoying. If it was seamless and in the background i'd prefer that.
