Bedside mode was one of the reasons I liked working with blackberry os 7. You could configure it to automatically deactivate all radio and that saves a lot of battery. It also leaved you sleeping in tranquility, knowing the device didn't release any radiation

But they removed it. Anyone else liked this automatic flightmode feature?

And then there is something else.. The bedside mode is useless for keyboard phones. Activating bedside mode displays the nightclock. Awesome for your eyes, except that the keyboard sends off clear white lightning bolts to your eyes while the clock is visible. What's the purpose of having a bedside mode then?

Turn off the screen? That's what I do with my z10 and I don't see any light.

I love the flight mode for bedside mode, this was something I've been waiting for since the launch.

What next? Possibly the ability to have it turn on and off the signal at certain times? For example 7 hours after bedside mode or 10 mins before the next alarm in order to get the emails and messages loaded before I wake up.

Because right now I have messages pouring in all at once and it's causing my phone to vibrate non-stop for a few mins lol

I think the issue is os7 bedside mode was similar to flight mode. - your phone became an alarm clock until you took it out of bedside mode.
Os 10 radios are still on. Notifications are off. Would be nice to have option for bedside mode to turn radios off for those concerned about radiation or battery life.

Yes flight mode in stead of bedside mode seems like a good idea. I like the nightclock though

...but this option don't work on my z10 despite it's on. Wireless connection actually still on during bedside mode. (10.2.1.1055)
EDIT : was wrong. It works well. I just didn't deactivate wireless connectivity properly.
