Running 10.2.0.1047 on Z10. Not sure if it's a bug on the leaked OS or a bug in the Z10 in general. I put 10.2.0.1047 on it as soon as I took it out of the box, so I can't say whether or not this was an issues before. I click open my contacts app, and some may or may not show up and first, but all won't appear for several moments. Like it's loading them all over again for the first time. Very frustrating when trying to flip through contacts and find certain things I need. Anyone have any suggestions?

Very strange indeed. Mine populate very quickly. Are you syncing from multiple sources?

Nope. No Facebook, Twitter, Gmail, nothing. Just my phone contacts. Pretty frustrating. I even went as far as reinstalling the OS hoping maybe it was a glitch. No luck.

Nope. No sim contacts. All on the phone itself.

Have you tried resetting the phone by holding down volume up and down buttons until the boot up symbol appears? I had the same issue with my hub and contacts. I rebooted my phone and it has been much faster since.

How long have you had 10.2 on your phone for? Mine worked much better after being on the charger overnight.

Leave contacts as an active frame and in split screen with the most popular contact account. Also now gives active frame access and icon access.

I'll reset it right now that way you suggested. But I've had 10.2 for about 4 days now. I'll update tomorrow after the reboot.

My Z10 worked perfect for three days and all of a sudden I am having problems with my contact app since yesterday. Very similar issue to the op. The phone also got uncomfortably warm yesterday and battery died in 3 hours. Tried factory reset, reboot and battery pull. Removed contact sync on email accounts. Reduced sync period to 7 days on non Google accounts, haven't added LinkedIn to hub to avoid duplicate contacts. Hope somebody can help.

If the reset didn't work, you might want to try a wipe your device and don't restore your contacts.

I had a similar issue recently. I deleted the accounts then checked the remaining contacts and compared to what was on my Gmail account. There was a few that had not been synced properly. I'm guessing that was causing the problem.

    Update from last night:
I did a factory restore, have not loaded any apps other than what is preloaded with 10.2.. Loaded only contacts through Blackberry link and email accounts last night..
Now my phone says I have no contacts, battery is down about 20% in 1 hour and phone is warm!!!!! Getting a little frustrated now..
Planning to take the unit back, hopefully its a faulty one and they will replace with a new one

When you first add an account and it adds a lot of contacts this will happen. Let it go and charge the phone. After a while it should settle down.

That is going to happen as well and does not indicate a hardware issue. The same running process that taxes the battery after installing the leak will ALSO cause it to charge slowly. Well actually it IS charging at a normal rate but then it is still draining at a higher than normal rate. Net result is it takes a lot longer to charge.

This happened to me as well. Took several hours to get the phone charged. Then once it was settled in, the charging rate returned to normal.

If you get another phone the same thing will happen if you put a leak on it. I would expect.

I've had this problem since the beginning (since first day of release in UK). However, it doesn't happen all the time. Just at random times. Most of the time, the contacts would appear quickly. Other times, it would take several seconds to fully appear. Sometimes, it takes about 2 seconds for contacts to appear, but that's not so bad. But I would like it to be quicker lol.

After loading up 10.2 I noticed my full contacts list didn't appear for a couple of hours. I would see about 200 contacts, then 500 contacts then later on I would see about 700.

I also experienced the same slow charging and the phone heating up for about a day or two after 10.2 was put on my phone. Since then, it has been fine.

I took the phone to the BlackBerry service centre here. They suggested that the sim card could be the problem. The store from whom I purchased the phone cut the regular sim card into a smaller sim to fit the z10 slot. The service guy said that the phone will work properly only with a micro sim. I have ordered a micro sim now. Will see if things settle down with this.
