i was sync my Q5 with bb link, when it finished syns i found 40 contacts only! it was around 1200 contacts
when i try to got lates backup (from one month ago) the bb link after finished toled not complete "verfiy your blackberry connected and try again"
i was traying around 10 times

i try to extact this backup but the app toled me " erorr file "

any one help me to got my contacts ?

You can't extract stuff from a BB10 backup.

Are your contacts on whatever it is you sync from the BB to? If so, can't you start from scratch and sync from the recipient TO the BB?

Also double check if the USB port and cables are working properly/undamaged/with proper connections. Any wobble and a whole backup is lost (and all my BB-issued USB cabled wobble now).

My wife also lost over half of her contacts. She did nothing different....didn't plug it in to link, no OS update.....just gone.

This happened to me on Wednesday last week. 1800 Google Contacts disappeared from my address book. I removed Google contacts account, restarted the phone, readded the account and they all reappeared in about 30 mins..

Very unusual they all disappeared tho.

Thanks but I think her lost contacts were stored locally. Her hotmail and BBM were there and her facebook as well. Still haven't been able to figure it out but will try deleting accounts.
