It's probably a carrier issue. Have you called them and asked?
He's referring to the BB10 Contacts app not recognizing these as being the same number, and thereby combining the contacts into a single entry.
And the answer is that the Contacts app has had lots of these kinds of bugs for 2+ years already.
Most my contact numbers are listed as 1234567890, and when I receive a call the contact shows, with the number in standard (123) 456-7890 format. Only issue I've had is when the carrier has botched my service.
I had this same problem with BBOS 6&7.1 as well. I usually have to put both those number formats by having 2 numbers even though they are the same exact number. It's not a deal breaker but it's the little things like this that BlackBerry should work on. At least it's not as bad as the iphones problem with the spring & fall time change bug :p

Being part of the NANP, it's easy to forget in the rest of the world we have to pay attention to country codes. What you're casually referring to as (123) 456-7890 could be +1 123 456 7890 or +1 234 567 890X. Your phone is take this all into account.
From now on, enter contacts in international format. For NANP numbers, this is +1 XXX XXX XXXX. Does this resolve your issue?
Was anyone able to resolve this? I'm getting texts from 1(123) 456-7890 but when I respond it shows up as separate conversation with 1234567890. I added both #s in gmail/contacts but that doesn't resolve the issue.
Check your Region display language settings ( Settings > Language and Input ).
I made sure it's Canada English (changed from the US English) - same thing. Thanks for suggestion.
better to restart the phone after the change.
Thank you, it seems to work so far.
