Hi guys. I was just thinking to myself about when installing the new OS when it decides to come out. Since every time an installation of a new OS is out and installed everything is wiped, will restoring a backup file via Link restore files which I backed up onto the new OS or will the old OS overwrite the new OS? I've never resorted and updated OS before so I'm abit confused Lol

Hello and welcome!!!
Backup and when you install a new OS (leak), you are able to restore everything from your backup file. As long as you are always moving up, that is going from a lower backup to a NEWER or higher OS, you will be able to restore without any trouble. Example, I went from 10.0 to 10.2.0.1055 and then to 10.2.1.1259 and then from that to 10.2.1.1925...they all restore as you move up.

So you will not lose any of your apps or settings, but the old OS does not erase what you have just done.

If I'm understanding your question, restoring a backup will not restore the old OS. Your upgrade will remain.
