I don't know what the official distance is but before 10.3.1 I could connect all over the house and garden, as the Router was designed to work when I bought it, but after the upgrade I was losing connection walking to the top of the stairs, with nothing in between me and the router
I know this doesn't help anything, but just chiming in I've actually gotten better reception from my router WiFi distance-wise since 10.3.1 on both my Z10 and Passport!

This really is an odd situation

Is it a 2.4/5GHz handover issue...?

If some people report the issue disappeared when they turned off 5GHz... just a guess! :-)

Yes, it's a very odd situation. For some, the Wi-Fi experience as in with connectivity, has imporved with 10.3.1, for some, the Wi-Fi is exactly the same as 10.2.1 and for some it has been a bad experience with Wi-Fi connectivity with frequent loss of connection. Hope it's stabilized soon for those facing the issue.

I suppose it's a possibility, could be the driverset that BlackBerry decided to use in 10.3.1 is being finicky with certain router driversets for how they handle 5GHz + 2.4GHz combos?

Personally I only keep the password for my 5GHz network at my house saved as a profile on my Passport, could it be an issue related to having both profiles saved?

Or could it be an issue related to how many users don't set up their router's properly and they've got their router broadcasting both 2.4 + 5 GHz on the same SSID?

I know that's the first thing I always fix when I set up my router's and family's router's, and we've always had good internet and WiFi in these regards.

I thought 2.4 and 5 operate on their own ssid each, and there is no handoff from one to the other. I would really think about getting a new router. They don't last forever and can fail as easily as anything else.

My Asus RT66N has separate SSID's for 2.4 and 5. I believe they're different channels, but will need to double check.

They're supposed to be kept on separate SSID's, but some companies found ways to make them try to play nicely on the same SSID. It makes it easier for the auto-setup programs like the Rogers EasyConnect to setup your home router's that they give you, and most devices are fine.

The issue is many do not play nice and these companies need to stop assuming -.-

I hope this helps at least a few of the users experiencing these WiFi troubles :s

As other have said, disabling the 5GHz spectrum setting on your BlackBerry may help as well if you don't need the performance and you have access to a 2.4GHz connection.

Has anyone that was having wifi problems tried 10.3.2.500....I have, I am finding the wifi issue maybe 1-2% improved, but certainly no where as good as 10.2.2

Of course if you upgrade, you can't go back to a lower 10.3, you can only go back to 10.2.2

I used to get limited wifi warnings, until I replaced my router. Really don't see it anymore, unless I'm using someone else's wifi, which likely hasn't been updated. Seventy-five to one hundred feet seems to be the max though.

I have noticed that when I'm near the range limit, the phone loads data faster if I disable either the wifi or cellular radio. It seems as though it has conflicts with weak signals present.

Do whatever you can to maximize the signal/reception, would be my suggestion.

Curious... what router did you get? 2.4 or 5.0 gHz in use ?

I was having issues with my Z30 disabling WiFi connections on a regular base as well. The problem was at home and at work. I recently just bought a new router. I was originally using a linksys x2000 modem/router for home. I switched the x2000 to run strictly as a modem and bought a Netgear AC 1900 Nighthawk router to run WiFi. Since the switch I haven't had any issues with the network being disabled and the signal is great. I think it has to do with the router or router setting more so than the phone

I had high hope from 10.3.2.500 for wifi but this build also sucks. Other devices and Z10 with 10.3.1. have continious wifi signal in my house while Z30 with OS 10.3.2.500 gets disconnected frequently.

Do you have a G and N router? Maybe you are now using the N instead of G like before?

Its an N but it set to work in all modes although protection is WPA2/AES to make sure network is running in N speed.

Why would it be a joke, my wifi was perfect on 10.2.2 as soon as I went to 10.3 (every version) wifi is always dropping. I went back to 10.2.2 and it was perfect again. I've now got 10.3.2.500 to see if wifi is improved, it is but only very slightly

I'm sorry for that joking part, there are many who kid everytime so I thought even you are. Yeah, even 10.2.1 was perfect too. With 10.3.1 it feels weak with multiple issues, Wi-Fi connectivity issue being the worst of all. Hope so the official 10.3.2 is as strong as 10.2.1 or 10.2.2 as you mentioned or maybe stronger.
